DH glove

Postby pinkmtb » Sun Aug 21, 2011 8:32 pm

Im researching some downhill gloves, something with nice padding at the ends of your fingers, where the callouses are. Last week at Highland my hands were on fire. My gloves are good for XC but not for the extra pressure of DH.

thanks
Lisa

Dakine has reworked their Ventilator glove for 2012 and added 3mm thick palm padding. These might be what you're looking for. When my wife started riding DH she was worried about the lack of padding in her gloves as well and settled on a well fitted pair of women's Fox Dirtpaw gloves. They have served her well for the past few seasons. For myself, I've enjoyed Fox's 360 Vortex and Troy Lee's GP glove this season.

I find that I use a mix of gloves. At times I just use a thin pair like the Giro Xen or a bit thicker the Remedy. I have also used the Answer glove very often and really enjoy it. Maybe your gripping the bars too hard? Or the bars are not wide enough?
No applause please!! Just Money..Thank you..
