I had a similar situation last summer. I got a Trek Superfly Elite. She like to run and I usually ride a bike with her. So I just got home with it and she wanted to run well as bad as I wanted to ride my my new bike I said sure but I needed a minute so after putting some temporary paddles on we were off. After about thirty minutes all she said was oh you got some new tires and being the man of the house that I am I replied yes I got some new tires. She never really figured it out or if she did she kept it to herself.
