I'm back... I found you guys again!

Hey guys... I found you again on the internet. I have now bookmarked the page. I'm still active in mountain biking, but not as extreme as others.

I remember learning so many great tips from a bunch of you on here. Then for some crazy reason, I forgot the website, the link, etc... but won't make that mistake again.

Pleased to see it. I'm relatively new around here to, and there's a lot to learn.

Welcome back ButchA. I noticed you are from Richmond. What is your go-to trail?

Thanks...

I have a bunch of trails that I like around Richmond, VA. I recently did Forest Hill Park and like that, but had to bail out of Buttermilk, but, it was a little out of my league.

My local trail is probably Deep Run Park, because it is so close to home - I mean, heck, I can ride my bike to it from my house. But then again, the park is real easy and good for a quick ride.

My favorite "go-to" trail out of all the trails in the area is Pocahontas State Park. I love it there... There's something for everyone in that place. It's fantastic! 8)

I've ridden more miles at PSP than anywhere, so it's definitely my go-to as well. I don't ride the Northbank/Buttermilk/Forest Hill trails as much, but get there now and again. It is a great trail, but it still works me pretty good and there are sections I definitely struggle with.

If you haven't already, check out the Dogwood Dell trails. It's not a long loop, but is fast and flowy and can be incorporated into a JRPS loop. Also, including the trails at Belle Isle and the new skills park is a must when you are down there.

I'd also recommend Powhite Park. It's a tightnit network, but once you get familiar you can put together some nice rides with a few techy bits if you like.

Thanks... I heard about the new skills park at Belle Isle. I have to get down there and check it out. The last time I was at Belle Isle, I rode around the place and it was really nice - small, but nice. The MTB trails at the top were insane and no way would I even think of doing what some younger, more skilled, riders were doing!
