Howdy I'm new here

Postby Bubblehead10MM » Tue Feb 28, 2012 12:50 am

Hi there, I'm a fairly new MTB er, I can't believe it took me so long to find Singletracks. I started riding last spring on a hybrid, which is my daughters hand me down now. I went in for a MTB because I like to jump curbs and ride hard on streets. Then I happened by a single track park in AL and I'm hooked. I drive over the road in a big truck so I have this Grand Opportunity to sample trails. I like streets and paved trails a lot, and get my cardio on, but I'm loving the woods, and can't weight to try some desert type riding. Biggest down side is wanting more bike then I can aford. :) Only ever regret not buying more bike last time, even though the one i have now is good.

Welcome aboard. There are several drivers out there doing what you are. Sounds like a great way to break up a drive and stay in shape after eating all that trucker food. :)

Welcome to ST. There is another OTR driver that makes regular posts on here. I ran into him on the trails at Pocahontas State Park one day. It sounds like he's ridden trails all over the country, which is pretty cool, so definitely take advantage of it. If you haven't already, hit up the Mountain Bike Trails link on the navigation bar above and start planning.
