You got a badly built wheel, take the bike back to shop you came from and try to get it warrantied. If the bikes not new, buy yourself a new wheel and spend more time riding.

Edit: How badly tacoed was your rim and how long has the mechanic that worked on it been truing wheels?

I did buy the bike new. I've owned it for two seasons and have about 1,100 miles on it, but have never bent the wheel.

Either get it trued at your LBS or get a new wheel. They will continue to break if you just replace them. Spoken from experience.
