Careful on that Stumpjumper, jtorlando25. I picked up the exact same model and broke my collarbone on my second ride. Get used to the wider bars before tearing it up on your local singletrack!

 Did the bike boost your confidence a little too much? or did you nick a tree and go flying otb?

Luckily the handlebar on my hardtail is even wider than the Stumpy's bar so I'm used to "sucking it in" around the tight twisty stuff. I do however feel like when I purchased the bike, it came with a bigger pair of cohones because I find myself going a lot bigger than I ever did before

Nicked a tree...and flying doesn't even begin to describe it. I was launched.

TruVativ Stylo 1.1 GXP Crankset, X7 shifter, X7 rear derailleur, Shimano HG61 12-36 29Er Cassette. Bike started at 32 lbs. Now sitting at 24.8 lbs. :-)

Tested them out at Levis/Trow Mounds in Northern Wisconsin. Climbs like a beast now!

Wow, that's a huge weight savings!

Nice looking ride. I hope to hit Levis/Trow Mounds myself in the next month or so.

Thanks guys! The fork swap helped the most! The only parts left from the original stock setup are the wheels and brakes at this point. Got rid of all those troublesome entry level parts.
Levis/Mounds is great ride, loved every minute of it!

I love levis... It's where I learned to ride. The guy that introduced me to the sport is one of the people who founded the trail system... The other dude who helped found the trail system and oversees maintenance and trail building was my photography teacher and track coach in high school.

Good times!

Yeah it was a good, challenging place to cut my teeth! I think more riders should start on technical(er) terrain
