Thanks. It's been a while since I went to Carvins. I'd definitely like to get back out there with the new rig.

Cool. We rode Hi-Dee-Hoe, Gaunlet, Trough and Buck yesterday. Awesome. Weather has been great for riding.

I'm thinking my next bike might be an aluminum Tall Boy. Hope you get that brake thingie fixed. My rotor rubbed off and on the whole time I had my Avids. Switched to Shimano SLR' s and I really love them - and the total lack of squeaking.

If you come to town look me up. We can hook up for a ride.

I've been using Shimano M486's for the last couple of years. They came stock on my GF hard tail. My guess is they are not considered top of the line, but I really like they way the feel. I recently had it in the shop and the mechanic even commented on them. My buddies with the higher end bikes have Avids, and they seem to complain a lot. It's probably a bit early to start thinking upgrades though since I haven't even ridden it.

Fleetwood, I meant Shimano SLX not SLR. I think i got front and back for around $325 -$350 installed. They have been great so far. Maybe down the road if you keep having trouble with the Avids.

The garage isn't the best backdrop, but there's a foot of snow outside and the white bike just disappears in it.

Had fun taking these in my make shift studio... A few constant light soft boxes, background and a few flashes..Although these shots no flash was used. Just long exposures.

Damn element, those are looking sweeeeeet!!!!

Just looks like too much wrenching on those suspensions, but that could be that I am so hung on single pivots....LOL. NO wrenching...LOL

Even singles require maintenance. There are still bearings there that need work...Just not as many.

LOL....Yeah man, just one pivot with one bearing cartridge. Not dissing your steeds linkage, but just more wrenching, and more work to keep them going and maintained, especially for racing...LOL
